Pre-publication checklist

An EPK is a communications asset. It does not create press coverage, bookings, distribution, or proof of ownership.

  1. Choose one primary purpose: booking, release press, radio, or a general industry introduction.
  2. Put the strongest relevant track and the current release near the top.
  3. Include a short bio and a downloadable longer bio.
  4. Provide portrait, landscape, and square press photos when available.
  5. Credit every photographer and state permitted media use.
  6. Link every press quote to the exact source.
  7. Date-stamp streaming, follower, chart, and ticket metrics.
  8. Keep awards, festivals, support slots, and collaborations traceable to evidence.
  9. Use a professional contact address and remove private phone numbers.
  10. Test every download, stream, and social link on desktop and mobile.
  11. Add useful image alt text and avoid autoplay.
  12. Remove confidential dashboards, unlicensed artwork, and private files.
